SEASONS OF THE ARBORETUM
I relocated to Canberra from Sydney with my family, and have been very moved by the National Arboretum Canberra story and the scale of the project. I was inspired by the landscapes and decided to capture the healing beauty of nature's changing seasons in the Arboretum.

Throughout the year I visit the Arboretum again and again: I'm drawn to this place, to the vista, the skies, the forests. When I see a landscape that fills my gaze and overwhelms my soul with its magnificence, my wish is to share that feeling by producing work that will catch your eye and reach into your soul. That's how the project Seasons of the Arboretum was born.

Here is the Forest 7 - Beautiful emerging fruit of Magnolia Delavayi. Small evergreen tree with a huge tough and leathery leaves! The flowers are fragrant, with nine thick creamy tepals. I hope to capture these beauties next Summer. 41x50cm, $780 SOLD

Forest 27 Maidenhair or Duck's Foot Tree Planted in 2008 at National Arboretum Canberra Ginkgo Biloba is my favourite tree. Lime green in Spring and brilliant gold yellow in Autumn. Can you imagine how spectacular this forest will be? For me it already is! 41x50cm, $550

It's a magical chilling winter morning in the Himalayan Cedar Forest at the National Arboretum Canberra. But all trees are warm and snug. 🙂 Warm Trees is the largest installation of knitting and crochet on trees in the world! It is very nice and beautiful and warm and you must see it if you are in Canberra. SOLD
Winter Solstice at the National Arboretum Canberra Forest 44 Silver and Spanish birch trees. You can catch a glimpse of frost at the arboretum only early morning... I used my creative license to paint a real snow morning. I still remember how it feels and how it looks. SOLD

Different study of the National Arboretum Canberra . It's a chilly winter morning. Yearly sun coloured our mountains pink and skies golden-yellow. Huge cloud of fog gently travels between trees and all the Arboretum covered in sparkling frost. Sugar Maple Trees in Forest 16, still holding on to their brown leaves and Ginkgo Dam reflects the colourful painting of the sky. It's a large 37.2 megalitre capacity dam. The dams at the Arboretum – are supplemented by water conservation and harvesting strategies including mulching, living ground covers, leaking weirs, irrigation systems connected to a bore and large storage and irrigation tanks. So much work is done at the Arboretum behind the scene for us to enjoy this unique place!
"There's a sunrise and sunset every single day, and they're absolutely free. Don't miss so many of them." On the painting - Winter Sunrise in the Strawberry Tree Forest. It's Forest 50 - Canary Madrone or Strawberry Tree. These trees are threatened species that endangered by habitat loss on the Canary Islands. Only 10,000 trees exist in 10 different locations.
All these colorful paintings look spectacular as postcards or framed prints.
